If you haven’t already…meet Rose & Louis! Louis: was adopted by Rose as a puppy, but only knew her for a few short days before being hospitalized for 3 weeks due to contracting parvovirus. We are happy to share that Louis is a parvo survivor! He owes his life to the generosity of the Laramie community who made it possible for him to receive the around-the-clock veterinarian care he needed. Louis is content napping all day, but goes 110% when it’s play time. His favorite words/things are ball, stick, river, let’s dance, & where’s Nora (his bff: best furry friend). Rose: became a Coal Creek employee while studying at UW in 2010. She has worn many hats for the company since, such as barista, supervisor, baker, coffee roaster, kitchen manager, hiring/training manager, hr, etc., etc.! What she loves most are the creative opportunities that come along with working for a small business & the interactions she has with the community due to positions she’s held/holds. In addition to her work for the coffee businesses Rose co-manages the brewery, Coal Creek Tap. Aside from work she is obtaining a 2nd degree in English & American Sign Language. Louis & Rose: Nature outings keep this duo grounded & balanced. If they aren’t outside they sleep in late & hang around the house. Louis stretches in front of the heater while Rose cooks, reads, or thinks up some creative project for the talented folks in her life. Though cured of parvo, Louis was left with a compromised immune system & tires/gets sick quite easily - much similar to Rose, who has had a poor functioning immune system since her early twenties. “We are the perfect match for each other, hands down best friends,” says Rose, “if Louis didn’t go nuts around everything that resembles his toy ball then we would go everywhere together.” Rose’s favorite CC bev is a 6oz double capp; Louis prefers to eat coffee beans that have fallen to the kitchen floor. If Rose isn’t drinking coffee you’ll find her at Tap enjoying the Chavez, Chili Porter. She says to come say hello anytime & introduce yourself!
